Snow tires are ok. But snow chains are the magic that allow a car with 30 odd horsepower and tires thinner than a slice of New York style pizza, to destroy six inches of unplowed snow.

Well, thin tires and extremely light weight vehicles are really the best in the snow... :)

Add the FWD setup and you’re good to go to plow throw small relatively small amount of very light snow like on this video. Then, when it comes to heavier snow, going slightly OVER the bumper, nothing beats a 500HP Audi S4 lol! And I’m not even a 4WD guy :)

This is what I tell people. But big secret: Americans freak out when there’s more than an inch of snow on the ground, and swear they need the biggest 4x4 they can buy to get through it.

That S4 has nothing on this old Tercel though:

Nah, their Corvettes are the best in the snow, but they have noooo idea about it :)

Kinja'd!!!

PS: 4x4 or not, they still get stucked miserably as most have not understood the concept of snow tires :)
